License plates are interesting here. Notice the variations -this one is letters-space-numbers, and is a 5-sided plate (not rectangular) two-high row, rectangular plate two-high row, rounded corners No space between letters and numbers. Single row, rectangle. Here you are issued a plate number, and are on your own to make your own plate. Doing that yourself in the US is ilegal, here it's required to make your own.

Sidewalk? Ain't no sidewalk here :-( Still, could be worse, there is at least space to walk, and a crosswalk up ahead. children's school or daycare? Lamp post (on the hiking trail!) leaning drunkenly to the side. Most of them are broken off.

Here the top of the lamp-post is broken off, lying on the ground. Amazing that they put in lamp posts on this hiking trail and ran electricity up to all of them! Not as foggy today, better breeze. Doesn't feel as humid. We can see the mainland better today.

Today we brought up grape tomatoes to enjoy at the top! This gazebo is fairly new! A different pretty butterfly today, but she was too shy to land on Bob and stay there long enough for a photo.

Close-up of butterfly Dripping with sweat in this humidity Bob noticed a guy scraping bark off a tree. Other trees have this removal of bark too. The sap is funneled down into a can.

This can is nearly half full. Now that we noticed this, we are seeing many other trees being milked for their sap. And another. This one has many scar marks. We talked to some locals and found out these are rubber trees being milked.

Back on the roads. Electrical poles have wires just hanging out. And this is near ground level, not out of the reach of kids. Wish the US weren't so litigious like this place must not be! Hmmm why wouldn't they want a truck to be backed up on the edge of the road here? It's a serious drop-off 100 feet vertical down, with a ton of trash already dumped down :-(
