	The "Ink Pots" look more black on the older camera	It's called Hells Gate because it's a startlingly stark landscape. The sulfur kills most of the nearby plants.	The sulfur smell is chokingly strong	Steaming and bubbling	Stay on the path

	The upper area above the falls	Notice the walkway edging - just a wooden plank - no railings edging the path. There's so many bubbling areas just off-path that no one is tempted to stray from the path.	Bob	The path is rocky in spots, as the area constantly changes the paths have to be moved	We're all mesmerized by the bubbling pools

	Dipping a toe in - this is the one (and only one) spot that this is encouraged, where the water is not too hot to burn	Peacocks!
