Photo Scenario 1: Wind Generators,  Grid 465B

Scenario:  One of the wind generators is generating an alarm of unknown cause.  Because of the nature of the alarm, PRPA would like CAP to bring back some digital pictures.  The generator in question is the 10th one in on the second row – see picture at briefing.

Briefing:

  1. Get a better overview picture if possible – no horizon in picture
  2. Get detailed digital photos of this generator – one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).  Photo quality should be high - PRPA needs as much detail as possible about the vanes and condition of this windmill as is safely possible.  Also check for signs of vandalism on the property.

Picture is looking east.  Generator in question is in the 2nd row from the north, the 10th one in.

<picture from the west looking east at all the windmills>

Photo Scenario 2: Jackson Reservoir, Grid 532B

Scenario:  Law enforcement has received credible information that an organization is planning to sabotage the dam at Jackson Reservoir.  Search the area for suspicious activity. If anything suspicious is found, take one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).  If nothing suspicious is found take photos of just the dam – one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 3:  Lake Estes Dam:  Grids 526Bd, 526Db, 527Ac, 527Ca.

Scenario:  The current drought has given us the ability to check local dams at extreme low water for structural weaknesses and deliberate sabotage/vandalism.  We have been asked to check the state of the dam at Lake Estes.  Get detailed digital photos of this generator – one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 4: Fort St. Vrain, Grid 561B

Scenario:  Homeland Defense is concerned about possible sabotage/vandalism of old nuclear power plant sites.  Fort St. Vrain, although non-nuclear for many a year, has a legend of continuing to house radioactive waste.  This legend makes it attractive to protesters and saboteurs alike.  Homeland Defense would CAP to take one photo from the east side (on either a north or south track), in particular looking for existing signs of vandalism and for weaknesses in perimeter security.

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 5: Rawhide Power Plant, Grid 464B, 464Da, 464Db

Scenario:  A threat to sabotage the Rawhide Power Plant towers has been received. Retrieve photographs that are of sufficient detail to determine if vandalism or sabotage has occurred to the towers.  Photos should consist of one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 6: Bellmore/Nunn, Grid 497Ba, 497Bb

Scenario:   Protesters have been loudly expressing their distaste of nuclear waste being shipped by rail through Northern Colorado. Authorities have received a tip that some protesters are ready to do more than just talk. Search grids 497Ba, 497Bb for suspicious activity.  If anything suspicious is found, take one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).  If nothing suspicious is found take photos of the railroad tracks at Nunn – one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 7: Oil Field, Grid 468C

Scenario:  CAP has been asked to do an aerial survey of the oil field south of the SHOOP intersection. The intent is to have photos of the area that can be compared to previously taken photos. There are suspicions that camouflaged structures may be hidden in the field.  Wide-angle shots from each direction are needed (one from each cardinal direction, no more, no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 8: Terrorist Training Camp, Grid 498Bb, 498Bd

Scenario:   People driving along Hwy 14 have reported occasional gunshots. Federal authorities have corroborated this information with suspicions of a terrorist training camp.  Search the grid looking for training activities. There are legal target ranges in this area as well which offer cover shots and an alibi for those developing more sinister skills.  Provide photographs and detailed description of any location where suspicious activity is found.

Remain at or above 1500’ AGL to avoid stray bullets.

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 9: Railroad crossings, Grid 531D

Scenario:  Do a route search along the railroad tracks south of Riverside Reservoir. Identify and photograph suspicious activity or vehicles in this area.  If no suspicious activity is found, photograph the nearest railroad bridge to the SW side of the Reservoir.  Photos should consist of one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).

 Briefing:

Photo Scenario 10: Power Plant construction, Grid 562D

Scenario:  Concerns have been raised about the security of the power plant under construction in this area. Provide photographs of sufficient detail to determine whether a breach of security has occurred.  Photos should consist of one picture from each of the cardinal directions (no more no less).
